Gonna Take that river down to the tip of the sea

carry my question for miles on a heavy tread
when i hear them all spoke out seems that burden left

dust off my patience, been to long awhile
many colors in this pattern, all faded now
flicker and glimmer, quite a simple show
in an instant it all changes, leaving only holes
