An ode to my dear friend Les Ross. He gave Colora a place to practice(1st band), put up with us, as well as neighbors complaining about the noise of teenage boys trying to be a band!! But above all, believed in us enough to give us our start, and that is where it all began. His passing away still haunts me, but he is, and always will be in my heart, mind, and the unseen member of ALL my musical endeavors.
lyrics
Sometimes i look at bottles to see myself
sometimes i fall in dreams to burt something
i see those yellow faces laugh at playthings
i always wish i could find where i put them
candles of golden flame for an evening
shine on the bottles i see my face in
ask me if i'd forget my name
i said i would for you
tell me then to take your pain away
and hold it til you come back to me
sometimes i watch the leaves fall on graves
i always wish i could be where he is
sometimes i fly to the clouds to forget him
but my saddness screams when i come down
noone will see my face since June of that same day
cause i died a long time ago
ask me if i'd forget my name
i said i would for you
tell me then to take your pain away
and hold it til you come back to me
theres wine in my bottle
and sand in my hour-glass
wine in my bottle
sand in my hour-glass
